Dining with Dietary Needs at Truffle & Co.: What to Know Before You Book

One of the questions our team hears most often — by phone, at the table, and in our DMs — is some version of "can you accommodate my diet?" We'd rather give you a clear, honest answer before you book than a vague "yes, of course" at the table. Here's exactly where Truffle & Co. stands, so you can decide with confidence before you sit down at any of our three Ho Chi Minh City locations.

Vegetarian: genuinely well covered

Truffle & Co. is vegetarian-friendly, with a real range of options across the menu — starters, salads, pasta, and pizza — not a single token dish tucked at the bottom of the page. Our team can walk you through which dishes are vegetarian as written, and which can be adapted.

Vegan: honestly, not yet

We want to be upfront: Truffle & Co. is not a vegan restaurant. A number of our vegetarian dishes use dairy, egg, or butter, and while some can be adapted — cheese left off a pizza, for example — we don't have a dedicated vegan menu or kitchen process. If you're strictly vegan, ask us at booking or on arrival which specific dishes can be adjusted, rather than assuming a dish is vegan by default.

Halal: an honest, specific answer

This one deserves precision rather than a simple yes or no. Truffle & Co. is not a certified halal restaurant — we serve alcohol on the premises and our kitchen also prepares non-halal items, so we can't offer a guaranteed halal dining environment. What we can tell you: our beef and chicken are sourced from suppliers holding halal certification for those proteins specifically. If that distinction matters for your visit, our team is happy to talk through it in detail before you book.

Gluten: we can help, with one honest limit {#gluten-we-can-help-with-one-honest-limit}If you're sensitive to gluten, we can make your pasta gluten-free — it's available on request across the menu. At the moment, we don't yet offer a gluten-free pizza base. And because our kitchen is shared rather than a dedicated gluten-free facility, we can't promise zero cross-contact — something worth knowing if you manage celiac disease rather than a general sensitivity.

Other allergies: always ask, every time

Nut, shellfish, dairy, or egg allergy — whatever it is, tell us at booking or when you order, and our team will confirm directly with the kitchen before your dish is prepared, and again before it's served. We'd always rather have the conversation than guess.
